Tenants
What are the Benefits of Using Direct Lettings?
Safety Deposit Scheme
We use a safety deposit scheme. The scheme guarantees tenants will get their deposits back at the end of the tenancy if they meet the terms of the tenancy agreement and do not damage the property.
Complete Paperwork
When you become a tenant with Direct Lettings, you receive all of the paperwork you need as a tenant entering a new property (your lease, inventory, safety check certificates).
Registered Landlords
All of our Landlords are registered with their Local Authority to comply with the legislation outlined in Part 8 of the Antisocial Behaviour (Scotland) Act 2004.
Multiple Occupancy Compliant
We ensure all properties that will house two or more unrelated tenants meet the Housing Multiple Occupancy guidelines.
Support & Maintenance
If anything goes wrong, you can report a problem straight away, any day of the week, using our quick and easy online maintenance request procedure.
Contents Insurance
As a tenant, your belongings aren’t covered against damage or theft by your landlord’s insurance policy, so it’s a good idea to think about contents insurance. There are hundreds or companies out there, but we can help you cut through red tape, putting you directly in touch with our partner insurers.
Nil Deposit Scheme
Moving home can be an expensive time; pulling together money for a deposit, first month’s rent and other associated moving costs can be a real struggle. The Let Alliance Nil Deposit Scheme removes some of this struggle, providing you with a more affordable alternative to the traditional deposit system.
